We began our new message series last week with a look at one of the greatest miracles God ordained–the joining of one man and one woman in the holy union of marriage. Now that this incredible work is finished for Adam and Eve, what is this married life supposed to look like? As we rejoin Genesis 2, we will see how God intended for marriage to be lived out–and what often gets in the way of experiencing the blessedness of being “One Flesh”.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I mention the word “marriage?” For some, marriage is a joyous union between one man and one woman. To others, marriage is a hardship, filled with fighting and anger. To others marriage is a fluid arrangement that can change from one partner to another. Others feel that marriage should be avoided at all costs, while others jump into marriage too quickly. And these impressions are ones that are stated by believers in Jesus! What does God have to say about marriage? I’m excited to begin our new message series, “And the Two Shall Become One” through which we’ll hear from God about what makes marriage biblical.
On Thursday, October 9, 2025 we will begin a Women’s Bible study by Kelly Minter, called “Encountering God.” This is a 7-week study on spiritual disciplines that are essential to live a vibrant spiritual life through knowing God more intimately. Kelly Minter unpacks the biblical foundation for these sacred habits through approachable ways to practice prayer, study, worship, rest, simplicity, generosity, celebration, and many more. We will meet every evening starting Thursday, October 9 — November 20 , 6 pm to 8 pm in the Family Room.
Study of James -“Living an Active Faith”
This study begins, September 7, 2025, and runs through November 30, 2025. There is a built-in flex week in case of inclement weather. Please meet in the Powerbox at 6 pm.
What does it look like for a believer in Jesus to have an “active faith?” And how does this play out in our modern lives? Join Pastor Adam each Sunday evening at 6pm as we explore the book of James and how Jesus inspires and commands a believer on how to live out their faith.

“Is This Worth It?”

With a world that seems to be growing more and more sinful and falling further and further away from the presence and intimacy with God, do you ever feel like your labor for the Lord Jesus isn’t worth it? Many have felt that way–that the things God has called us to and passioned us for don’t matter in the grand scheme of things. While these feelings are real for many people, are they grounded in what is true? Join us this Labor Day Sunday as we turn to 1 Corinthians 15 and celebrate why our labor for Jesus is always worth it!
