Do you find it difficult to wait? Whether it’s waiting for the doctor at an appointment, or getting your food at a restaurant, or spending 30 minutes waiting in the checkout line in the grocery store, for many people, waiting is not easy. Joseph had a clear calling from God–to be an instrument of God to preserve the Abrahamic covenant for the nation of Israel–yet this calling was filled with times of waiting. As we return to the story of Joseph, we find him in a place of waiting. And the question we will unpack is this–what do we do while we are waiting for God to move? Joseph’s example is one of the most profitable lessons for us, but also one of the more difficult times we experience as a believer.
