“The Perils of Our Calling”
Genesis 37:1-11
There is nothing like experiencing the calling of God on a life. When God calls a person to follow Him, He fills the void that sin left in the heart, satisfies the longing that is experienced, and validates the incredible identity of Christ in you, the hope of glory. When this calling of God rests on people, there are marks and imprints of change on them! While this is such a blessing (and my prayer for every person to experience), not everyone likes it. Some of our friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers struggle to come to grips with the changes we exhibit. But friends, we’re not alone. Joseph experienced the same thing. As we begin our new message series, “Faith in Times of Adversity”, we will see how Joshua dealt with the difficulties surrounding his calling.
