“How to Celebrate”
Matthew 2:1-12, Luke 2:13-14
Do you like to celebrate? I think everyone does. Whether we celebrate by watching a parade, going to a party, sending a card or greeting, or feasting over a delicious banqueting table, celebrating is something that brings great joy to us all. And there is no season in our world today that brings about more joy and celebrations than Christmas. Between the parties, decorations, food, and music, people seem to be in better spirits as we celebrate Christmas. As we rejoin our message series, “Missing Christmas,” we’re going to explore two of the great celebrations of Christmas that have ever been–those of the Wise Men and the Angelic Host–and talk about two things: the reason for the celebration and also how they celebrated Christ, the Newborn King.
